Conditional Formatting

Search

Conditional Formatting changes a cell or cells according to specific criteria. It is used to highlight data which may differ from one record to the next. For example, negative numbers may need to be displayed in a different colour.

Fonts, borders and patterns can all be changed and up to three different conditions can be set for each cell.

The IF and conditional formatting drill which accompanies the GCSE Double Award in Applied ICT gives a good example of how to use conditional formatting.
